Identifying and Promoting Best-Practice in Supporting Long-Term Unemployed Adults into Education Pathways.
Project info.
Eurobug was proud to be a part of the New Pathways project, a collaborative initiative involving five diverse organizations from four European countries: IWM GmbH, CGE Erfurt, CitizensAct, Youthtopia, and Eurobug. Over the course of 18 months, the project focused on exchange programs, job-shadowing, study visits, and collaboration activities. The primary goal was to identify and promote best practices in supporting long-term unemployed adults on their education pathways.
The consortium comprised a range of expertise, including service providers, project management professionals, informal associations of educators, and migrant-led research organizations. This diversity allowed our consortium to approach the project from various angles, fostering exchange and collaboration that potentially led to innovations and future partnerships.
Following three series of job-shadowing activities, the project consolidated collective learning and case studies into a comprehensive online and print resource. In the final stages, the project looked forward to integrating these insights into ongoing services and fostering future cooperation.
Eurobug's Contribution:
Eurobug actively participated in this project, sending our Creative Director, Kelvin Akpaloo, and our Chair of the Board, Amina Moustafa, to Germany for an enriching study visit. During their time in Germany, they gained valuable insights into the methods employed by different youth and community development organizations. This experience focused on strategies to support youth and communities in achieving a diverse and inclusive environment.
It's essential to note that while Eurobug was a proud partner in the New Pathways project, the coordination was led by CGE - Culture Goes Europe, our esteemed German partners. This collaborative effort reflected our commitment to contributing to innovative solutions and promoting inclusivity on a broader European scale.
